From infancy through adulthood, individuals worldwide are affected by inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Although the precise etiology remains unknown,\u00a0established environmental risk factors\u00a0<\/strong>\u2014 including pollution exposure, antibiotic use, smoking status*, obesity, and pro-inflammatory dietary patterns \u2014 are recognized determinants contributing to the\u00a0rising prevalence and incidence of IBD<\/strong>\u00a0in the general population.4<\/sup><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n
